Buds Tree Service

We hired Bud’s Tree Service to remove a large maple tree. We found out that Bud had passed away and that his stepson was taking over, which was not an issue for us. We received a quote and scheduled the job for June. On the scheduled day, no one showed up and there was no communication. One of us had taken time off work to be home. After multiple calls and texts, we were told the chipper was down. This should have been communicated ahead of time. When I explained that, the response we received was passive-aggressive and unrelated to the lack of communication. We waited a month and followed up. We were told the equipment was fixed and they would be out in a week. Another month passed with no contact. When we reached out again, we were given a date in October. On that day, no one arrived

Ryan (he's Buds stepson) was hired to remove two trees from my yard. I called him at 930 am the morning he was supposed to do the work. He stated that he was waiting on a worker and would be here shortly. He never showed up. He didn't answer my calls. I left him a message in regards to his unprofessionalism. He texted me the following day stated that an emergency came up. I believe he was lying. He admitted that he lied. What a shame Bud's tree service has always been a reputable company. Not anymore.

The work they did was ok. They chipped up 80% of the tree, but left a giant piece of tree behind. Said they'd be back to take care of the stump and never did. The tree was halfway uprooted from tornado so there's quite a gap in the ground near the stump.
