Builders FirstSource

Been here for an hour and a half and they are just now starting to unload my truck. If you are a trucker just plan on packing your lunch before you come because they are in no hurry to unload your cheap load of lumber off of your truck. They are too busy doing other tasks other than getting you back on the road so you can make some real money.

In our experience, this location in Cookeville, is not interested in the end user experience. They are strictly focused on contractors, hence "Builders" in their name, so take them at their word. They are not interested in encountering a retail customer or the end user of the contractor sourced material. Our general contractor (GC) ordered way too many outside Diamond Kote "Rigidmount" wall fittings for the exterior and plumbing fixtures. There were 12 extra of these mounts, still in the OEM wrapping, left safely indoors, in OEM new condition. No one from our GC nor anyone from Builders 1st Source would help return them. Opened gates at 06:00. Started unloading around 07:00 left at 07:20. Fast unloading. 2 forklift drivers unloading at a time

The heavyset guy that was feeding his face at his desk, didn’t wanna bother to get up and take me to look at the quality of the wood. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anybody. I got the route comment of gotta love them Pinterest people. Sad thing for y’all I needed 1500 liner ft of 1x6 on one project and 400 on another!

I wasn't the actual customer who came here for supplies but my wonderful neighbor Tommy visits you frequently and he was kind enough to take me to the grocery store in the middle of a work day . He had to stop in and I was just noticing the kindness and friendships that seemed to be going on there and it made me feel grateful to live and love my home town and the people in it. My opinion is that I sat in the truck and watched many hard workers go in and come out and even they were nice to me. Tommy knows the employees by name , I on the other hand know where you are located and will be glad to send builders your way. I'm also good with customers so if you all have any need for help let Tommy know to tell me 😁
