Cabarrus County Parking Deck

Me and the wife visited the “art walk on union” this past weekend (9/6.) fun event, but couldn’t find parking in the parking deck at the corner of Corban and spring street. While I would never normally complain about something like this, I wanted to point out that this is the third downtown event we’ve gone to where dozens of cars are going up and down this particular parking deck looking for parking, meanwhile over a third of the deck is completely empty due to a good third of the spots are “reserved” for the adjacent apartment’s tenants. I’m sure the apartment complex paid for those spots, but it’s obvious the occupancy of those apartments is exceptionally low, the spots simply aren’t getting used, and now you’ve got a wasted half of a parking deck. Poor planning all around on both

Very narrow entrance and exit... if you have any kind of wide vehicle, rethink parking here or be careful.
