Yaniv Maya came out to pick the lock on an interior walk-in closet door. This isn’t some kind of high security lock we are talking about. Yaniv said that he was only able to pick the lock and spin the knob in 1 direction but not actually gain access. The solution that he offered was to drill the lock for $185 and replace the cylinder for another $15. This seemed very pricey since I usually do business with Newhall lock and key and they had opened my front door a year prior for $120 and that was a much higher security lock. Be careful with this one. We lost the keys to one of our cars and needed to have them re-made. I called in to get a quote and request service which seemed to go fine. But before the technician came out, I got a call back saying they couldn't do the job (I'm guessing because the technician didn't want to). Shortly after that call, the technician himself called and said he was coming, so I let him come, because we desperately needed the key. He comes and does the key, but says it costs about $200 more than what I was originally quoted. I should have fought him on that, but didn't because we need the key. I asked the Tech to re-key a deadbolt & doorknob. He could not do it because smart-lock feature caused the lock to stop working. He wanted to sell me a new doorknob & deadbolt-$400.00. I stopped in at another local locksmith and he said no problem re-keying. Bring it to him or he can make a service call. Proceed with caution.

Have always had a great experience using this Locksmith. They are polite, responsive, quick, honest, very reasonably priced, and do a fine job. We don't use anyone else now!!
