Capital Carpets Inc

They are primarily a builder only flooring installation business. We purchased a new home from Carr Homes in Virginia where Capital Carpets Inc. installed the flooring, both carpet and hardwoods. The hardwoods have mostly held up with some unexpected gaps, but the biggest issue are the carpets. Every room that Capital Carpets Inc. installed carpet in are sagging and showing horribly, even on some stairs. We were told by an independant that this only happens when poorly and improperly installed. The best carpet in our house is the basement playroom we finished using Home Depot to install carpet, which is sad in a community of million dollar homes. If you want flooring that will collapse within the first 3 months of use, then you should use Capital Carpets. They installed a faulty product that had holes, not only in the installed panels, but also in the uninstalled panels. They asked us to wait one year for them to order the product and then replace the faulty material. I had to follow up in a year and they did not know what I was talking about even though I had a conversation with the President about getting all faulty panels replaced. The woman I spoke to transferred me to the President who was very rude throughout the conversation and refused to would replace all of the boards with holes in them regardless of number, even though he had verbally confirmed with me that he would. We are very unhappy with our year and a half old engineered hardwoods. The finish is coming off. Capital refuses to do anything about it. We have contacted our builder, Drees Homes and have recommended that they no longer use this company because they don’t stand by their product.

Like the other comments and pictures shown the carpet in the master bedroom starting folding up within a year of installation.

Wood floors look awful after a year and company just says "it's natural," and refuses to fix. Many of my neighbors have have had similar experience with Capital Carpets.
