Capitol Barricade

Love this shop. Many things not available at a home improvement store. Just stopped by Capitol Barricade again today. Typically good service and quick in and out. They almost always have what I'm looking for. They also have a sign shop. Last I used them they're prices were competitive.

Without a warning the pickup driver decide just to cut me off

They don't care about the little guy any more. I have been a customer for 6 years and they have changed for the worse. The ordering process is crazy, then they want you to pay in advance and if that wasn't enough they want you to pay a 4 % credit card fee. They are happy with the city and state contracts. I couldn't even get a quote on my last job, but they wanted me to give them my credit card. No thanks, time to move on.

I picked up some poles for a customer on 9-14-2021. Inspector says poles aren’t up to city specs as they’re too thin. So customer finds new poles and we wait to return them as we have receipts. Me and the customer go today (10-22-2021) to return the poles and they won’t return them as they say we “cut” them. Mind you they’ve been sitting in back of my truck since I’ve picked them up , and I have an 8 foot bed. Manager says they don’t sell 8 foot poles but only at customers request. At this point it’s not even the money for the poles that bothers me, but more the principal of not even leaving an option to even make things right. I get it, it’s business, but they won’t get my business again. Thank you for a pole I don’t need.

Very knowledgeable, and helpful! Facility is clean and organized with plenty of helpful employees to help load and a working knowledge of products! They were covid-19 sensitive wearing mask and sanitizing as needed!
