Capitol Garage

Convenient spot to park downtown. The garage is clean and easy to navigate, and I always feel safe leaving my car here. Good rates too.

Easiest place for me to park as you are right across from the Capitol on L Street by the north entrance. I didn’t stay long this time so I only payed $4 and was able to pay with my credit card on the way out. Some people complain about getting charged double so I would get a ticket as you enter and then pay by card at the exit instead of paying by card first if you’re worried that could happen to you.

They scammed us. We bought prepaid parking and it got us in, but then they charged us on the way out even though we left hours before it expired. Then the help button went to voicemail and the voicemail was full. Then the machine wouldn't print a receipt. Completely scammed.

Absolutely the worst parking garage in the entire country after a Kings game or concert at Golden 1.

Taller vehicles beware! The height indicator bar in the front is higher than some of the concrete support pillars around the parking structure. My wife and I got stuck at the first turn. Still giving four stars due to proximity to other places and the overwhelming kindness of the security guard to help us get out.
