We found the carpet at our local carpet store & were ready to place the order when a coworker of mine recommended Ken. I contacted Ken & set up a time for him to come measure my rooms & get a quote. He was very friendly & knowledgeable about the carpet we had chosen & asked how I found it. I told him we were at our local flooring store & he said he used to work there & then proceeded to tell me how he is different. His quote came back a mere couple hundred dollars less than the other store, which wasn’t a huge savings but because he took the time to tell me about the quality & design of this particular carpeting, we decided to go with him. He said he needed 1/2 down in order to place the order for the carpeting, which we promptly paid & set a date a few weeks later for installation. About

The carpet we got was great, exactly the same as if purchased from our local carpet store, and we saved a few hundred dollars. That said, the experience was terrible in just about every way possible. Ken who appears to be the only person in the company is reachable for the sale, but the moment you hand over payment, he is unreachable and washes his hands of the project. When you order, he will ask for partial payment. That payment is the full cost of his part in the transaction, the balance is for a 3rd party installer….so he tunes out entirely. The installers were late by half a day, which extended the installers mess another day. The final payment goes directly to installers who later claimed they “lost the check” in hopes of getting paid again. Pretty confident that’s a regular routine.

Carpet direct was very helpful to resolve a small problem with my carpet when it got wet. They recommended just replacing the padding and not replacing all the carpet.
