Carpet Land

I called and asked for someone to come out and measure to buy a carpet. They sent someone out and everything was seemingly great. I didn't love the selections offered, but I made a selection and made the purchase. It went super smooth. Then they started calling me telling me they didn't have the carpet I ordered and asking me to come in. I was a little confused by the messages left. I ended up asking for a refund through text message as that was how I dealt with the salesman. He had traditionally responded and even had read receipts on. That text is still unread. I called the store 24 hours later to request a refund. I was told the salesman had do process it and he was not in, but he would get in touch with me. I waited almost 24 hours with no contact again. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I choose a remnant piece of carpeting to have a runner made. I was aware that they would have to piece it together to get my desired length. I specifically asked the store manager, David Robbe, if the seam would be apparent. He replied that I may be able to detect it, since I know where it was. He also said nobody else would notice it. The runner looks awful with a seam right across the middle of the runner. It is a textured piece of carpet. They didn't match the design in the texture. Nor did the design line up correctly at the end of the runner. I contacted the manager several times with my complaint. He was not at all cooperative. He kept telling me he would look into it and get back to me. He never once called me. I had to continually call

Unfortunately it appears their the reviews are earned. Very poor experience even though I was going through the Costco program. In the end they were going to charge me for over 200 sf of carpet that they attributed to waste on an installment of about 480 sf. When questioned the salesmen, after making me wait for over a week, stated that Costco margins are razor thin. That being the case then why sign up for their program and then attempt to cheat their customers? Buyer beware in this case! Very poorly managed business with little to no transparency.
