Carr's Outdoor Services

I went to buy Firewood at Carr's Outdoor Services yesterday. As usual there was no one on site and it was left to the honor system. I needed to pick up a Cord, but as I drive a Escape I could only take a 1/2 cord at a time. As no one was there for me to ensure that when paying for a full cord the second half would still be there when I returned, I paid for a 1/2 cord and sent an email about getting the second 1/2 and still paying the full cord price. I paid $70.00 for a 1/2 cord, the full cord was $100. These people never answer the phone, so what was I to do? I sent an email to them about this and here is their response: Hi Mark, Each rack is marked with the price we expect to be paid for it and appreciate that you did that when buying the 1/2 cord. Very friendly, willing to assist if needed, we didn't need it, I thought the offer was kind. I feel we this time, or from this company, got what we paid for 1 cord of high quility.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is claiming they are doing roadwork for our subdivision in Plymouth Township. Even if they are, we never received any notice of this road work. They have knocked on our door multiple times in one night to see if we knew the neighbor and if we could call them to move their car or it would be towed. They then called the police. Then the next day, I came home from work early and I was approached and threatened by an employee saying they have been knocking on our door all week, and saw that my mother in law was in there one day (and we have dogs and a baby and she doesn't feel comfortable opening the door to strangers!). Got firewood a month ago and tried burning it in our fireplace. It's been stored out of the rain since we bought it, and it's so water logged it barely burns, water dripping out the ends of the logs. Was clearly not fully seasoned. I don't recommend.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was finally able to get a response and had an appt scheduled for firewood delivery. On the day of scheduled delivery, no show/no call. I have tried ever since to get ahold of someone but they never respond.
