Cedar Grove Composting

Orca NW Construction LLC uses Cedar Grove for materials and dirt dumping. Good service and fair prices every time

Their product sold at Fred Meyer is awful. Found shards of glass in it! I bought the landscape mulch thinking it was mulch. It's just poorly decomposed compost and black in color. A far cry from the "rich in color" claims on the misleading brown bag. Picture for context. Their "landscape mulch" dirt next to actual mulch and the brown bag. Also it smells like a garbage heap. The wife came home today and was livid with the stink. It's 90 today and flies are swarming around this garbage (literally) product

Back in March I bought 3 yards of Cedar Grove 3 way topsoil in preparation for this year's growing season. The soil is sodic and due to the clay content becomes hard as a rock when dry. Seeing stunted growth in my flowers. Soil is nothing like what they show in their video. Trying to amend the soil with gypsum and ammonia sulfate to save the season. Bringing in compost from others to try and get some growth and fix this. I knew something wasn't right when they delivered material that smelled worse than a landfill.. My cost has doubled in trying to fix thi this mess..

VTL I checked in and got loaded fine. Check in going all the way up the hill, there will be a scale up there and the main office runs it. After paperwork they will send you down to the loading docks. Directions for that is: 1. Go down the same hill then turn Left at the customer sales sign. 2. Left at loading dock sign (first left). The sign was knocked down but there are several do not enter signs at the end of the road. Docks are on the left labeled 1 through 4.

We used their services a while ago for a larger construction job. We had to start turning away loads after just a week the soil installed was growing lots of weeds and turned hard.
