Celebration Paintings

We hired Andy as a live painter for my daughter’s wedding on November 1st and paid $3,000 for her services. As of today, January 12th, we still have not received the painting. My daughter first reached out on December 1st to ask when we should expect it. Andy initially responded that she thought she had finished it onsite but would check her studio and ask her partner in case it was accidentally taken. She now insists that she left the finished painting boxed on a table at the venue. This is simply not true as the MOH and I, the MOB, are the ones who cleaned up the venue. When we went to clean the painter’s station she was gone along with all her supplies. All that remained were the 2 guest paintings pictured below. Andy has admitted that she did not personally hand the painting to anyone

Hiring Andy to paint our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Andy was so genuinely excited to be part of our day that I knew she was the best person to capture the moment through her art. It really felt like she was another guest at our wedding. The painting turned out even better than we could have imagined. We will cherish it forever. Our guests also loved the portraits she did during the event. It was an amazing keepsake that many of them really appreciated having. Throughout the entire process Andy was communicative of what we could expect and even accommodated a last second request to the painting to include our dogs. I wish we had more events for Andy to paint!

Andy was an absolute joy to work with - and we can’t recommend her enough for anyone looking to have a live painter at their wedding or event! Andy met with us ahead of our wedding to help us determine what scene we wanted to capture from our wedding - and wow did she do an amazing job capturing us, our families, the bridal party, and the wedding llamas (!!) with the beautiful venue in the background. Our guests also loved interacting with Andy during cocktail hour as they got their portraits painted - and it was a fun keepsake for them to take home! We had such a wonderful experience working with Andy!

What was supposed to be our most treasured keepsake has turned into the most agonizing issue to deal with. My MIL was kind enough to gift this to us. We opted for the 18”x24” with couple only and guest illustrations, coming out to nearly $3,000. Andy did offer great flexibility with payments from my MIL. I was very communicative with her regarding the payments and mentioned several times if she needed to terminate contract due to late payments then we would understand. Andy always insisted it was no issue and received final payment 10/2 for our wedding on 11/1. We had our planning call 10/30, and I was so eager for the final product after hearing how warm and kind she was over the phone. We spoke about a grand reveal at the end of the night of the painting. We never did get a grand reveal.

Andy was absolutely wonderful and 10/10 recommend having her at your wedding celebrations! Her paintings turned out beautiful and she was such a hit with all our guests on one of themost stressful (but amazing) days of my life! Andy communicated very well and I’m so thankful she was available for our date.
