Central Parking System

I booked online from 12:30pm, 10 hours, arrived at 11:44am, when pick up the car 6 hours later, I was told by the staff I will be charged over stay fee, because I entered early than the book. Then why not return the fee for 4 hours I did not use?

We booked online for 5hours from 7:00pm-12:00am and arrived at 7:15pm. When we came back to pick up our SUV around 10:30pm, the staff insisted to charge another $20. His reason is what we never heard before: your reservation started at 7:00pm, so must arrive exact at 7:00pm. You were 15 mins late and have to pay another $20. If anybody does not want to get double charged, be lucky to arrive on exact reservation time in middle town Manhattan!

I parked there on Saturday January 11, 2020. The staff on duty is very rude when I picked up my car at 6:30pm. He took my tips but refused to move my car out. The underground garage is very very narrow and full of blind spots and pillars. It took me a while to maneuver the car out of its parking spot. I am not the only one. He asked the person after me to do it himself multiple times too. If you own or manage this place, beware who you hire. It could be a liability. If you want to park there, just watch out the potential hazards mentioned above.

If you book through spothero, it’ll say the height restriction is 7’ 10’’. My mini SUV’s height is 66 inches. So when I booked it was $40 ‘cause it’s obviously not oversized, then when I went to retrieve the car they made me pay $10 more otherwise they won’t get the car back.

The parking lot is right behind Carnegie Hall so it was very convenient that way, It is a good safe place to park. But it says it is open 24 hours and it is not. We got there and were told they closed at 11 pm and if we didn't get out before that we would not be able to get our vehicle until morning. As a result we had to leave the concert at Carnegie Hall early in order to get our vehicle. We also were told our little Jeep Wrangler is an" oversized" vehicle and we charged a 50% up charge for that.
