From the very start, Doug A. was very knowledgeable and helpful in connecting us with G&K Carpentry (Gary and Kyle) to begin our staircase renovation. Our existing staircase was red oak and 20 years old, and we wanted a more modern, updated look. G&K came out promptly and gave us lots of ideas and choices with samples. Century Stair provide exceptional white oak materials for the renovation and Gary was expertly able to custom match our new staircase with our new flooring color. Our project was to change the style of the railing system (newels and balusters and handrails) in our home. Due to the very open floor plan and prominent placement of the stairway, the style and appearance of the stairway is very important. Our first point of contact was Doug Amrhein -- who is VERY responsive and knowledgeable. He listens, he suggests, he follows-up -- Wonderful experience. One of the excellent suggestions Doug made was to pair us with a master carpenter, who also took the time to understand and respond to the factors that were most important to us. They tidied the work space each day as they left. They worked very hard - never saw them break for lunch -- I hope they did!

Century stair sent two very professional carpenters. They were both very accommodating to our needs. I am on oxygen. First coat of stain was a little lite.
