Arnold and his team added wood flooring to one area and refinished red oak floors in a 1970’s house. They did a great job! They discovered a previous contractor had replaced wood with the wrong wood species and quickly fixed that with the correct wood. We were nervous about the final look and whether the red oak would appear orange or amber. But they treated the floors with the best care and products, including bona traffic matte, producing a durable, high quality finish. Absolutely Outstanding Craftsmanship and Service! We had an amazing experience with Vintage Wood Floors & Stairways from start to finish. Their team completely transformed our staircase! They removed our old bannister and installed a stunning new red oak bannister, which they carefully sanded, stained, and finished to perfection. They also painted our existing risers and side skirts, and even custom-made a beautiful square bottom tread and riser that really completes the look. Arnold's installers clearly took great pride in their craftsmanship. Their attention to detail was noticeable from day one. Vintage Wood Floors & Stairways replaced the dated carved oak posts with new ones with a more modern profile. They installed new matte black balusters, replaced the scrolled edge trim with simple molding, and painted the risers and trim to match the other trim in our foyer.
