A large tree from my neighbor's property fell onto the utility lines, posing a significant safety hazard. When the contracted company arrived, they cut the tree free from the lines but carelessly dropped it into my yard and the adjacent alley, completely blocking access. The resulting mess was appalling. I was unable to access my own driveway and had to personally remove debris that the company should have cleared. To this day, the fallen tree and additional debris continue to obstruct the alley. Given that the company had the necessary equipment, including a wood chipper and trailer, it's perplexing why they chose to leave such a chaotic aftermath. This lack of care and professionalism is unacceptable. It raises serious questions about their commitment to customer satisfaction and their a
Hired by the energy company to remove tree limbs from powerlines, broke my back windshield out of my jeep by dropping a tree branch right on it, even AFTER I asked them if I needed to move my vehicle BEFORE they started setting up to do their job. Some of the workers seem to have a bad attitude as well. The windshield is getting fixed, and the folks that had attitudes were directed to stay off our property. Just a crappy situation that could've been avoided all together. I hope to see some improvement on their end, or a different tree service that cares about what their doing the next time that this is needed in our area. Foreman did phenomenal handling both situations though, he alone earned them an extra star. 👏
Absolutely terrible company. Cut down 16 ornamental pine trees (do not grow above 12 feet) while “clearing power lines.” The trees were not under the power lines and would never grow to touch them. The trees were planted by our deceased Grandfather and are, obviously, irreplaceable. PLEASE never trust this company!
If you enjoy being lied to and having your yard torn up, CHOP is for you. Our neighbor requested a tree be removed from a utility line and they asked my wife it they could access it from our yard. They wanted to access our yard after a huge rainstorm and she asked them not to come until the yard dried out. They assured her, "We can't come right away, the equipment is broken." Lie: they came the next day when there was still standing water in one end of the yard. They promised to put boards between the equipment and the turf. Lie--see picture below. They promised it wouldn't leave deep ruts. Lie--see picture below. I've registered a complaint with Consumers Energy who contracted them. Doesn't change the fact that my turf is torn up and my dogs are tracking mud into the house.
They leave a huge mess of destruction behind. Hacked trees and debris in private property. No good work ethic. And don’t let them trim your oaks after March, they’ll kill your trees. And they know it.
