Cinderella Customs And Restoration

I almost never write reviews, but my experience with Cinderella Customs and Restorations was so frustrating it needs to be shared. Long story: Last year I purchased a “frame-off restored” 1967 GTO at Mecum. Sadly, I quickly learned the car wasn't as good as advertised, when I blew a head gasket in the first 12 miles of driving it. Having talked with the folks at Cinderella a couple of times in the past, I chose them to remove and reinstall the engine because they worked with Gibson Performance Engines, who I chose to do the engine rebuild (note, Gibson is a great company). Joe, Cinderella's owner, quoted 4–5 hours for the engine removal at $125/hour, but I was billed over $1,800. When questioned, he blamed a new invoicing system and a stuck header bolt. This shop does amazing work, but what really stands out is the work that they do to help their local community. From helping people with car troubles to donated labor for dream projects, they genuinely care about the community they serve! Highly recommend not only for the quality of the work, but for the care and community minded mentality that comes with it.

They went way ABOVE and BEYOND! Very thorough, so flexible and willing to work with us, and made a very stressful situation considerably smoother. Cannot recommend them enough!

This was a very poor experience for me. The employees were great to work with but there is a disconnect between ownership and employees. They were not willing to give me firm estimate but their "best guess" was doubled by the time I picked up my car. Never honored any of their "estimates" on time or cost. I finally took it elsewhere only to find that some of the work has to be redone. Of the many items that need to be redone, the passenger quarter panel sticks out an inch beyond the drivers side. The trunk pan needs to be cut and quarter panel adjusted. Body work 101. Cannot recommend this shop.
