City of Dayton Division of Waste Collection

This trash service makes me want to sell my house and move far away to a city that gives me more than one option for trash service. My trash is constantly not getting picked up or having trash pulled out of the dumpster and thrown into my yard. When it does eventually get picked up the dumpster is down the street in front of the neighbors house. It's seriously not rocket science. If yall hate your job that much then go find another one. You guys don't deserve 1 star. Highly considering buying a trailer to just haul my own trash to the dump and saving myself the money and headache of dealing with this garbage of a company.

Mean men never empty can all the way. They sift through the can to find something to say they can't take it, like a planter I broke into pieces they say they can't take it because it's wood and it's home decor so I have to make a special appointment to have the city do a pick up. When I put the weeds in the can they say they can't take that. You have to hide everything in a heavy duty bag because if there's even a hole & they see there's weeds or a broken up planter in the bag they won't take it. They do this all the time. I regret investing in Dayton Ohio. This city sucks. These people suck.

Trash can is put on the curb to be picked up Thursday morning. After it's emptied, can is put back in the street, 2 feet away from the curb. If the arm of the truck can reach the curb to pick it up, why can't it reach to put it back on the curb? I called this morning and was told they are training new drivers. Obviously, they are not training them very well

Trash threw into the driveway and left neighbor trash after failing to pick up last week of Jan 2026. When confronted the employees thought it was funny. This is unacceptable. Captured event on camera

When you think 🤔 about 🗑️ trash you may only think 🤔 of what you , or your household throws out. I our city alone just imagine how much trash goes out in a mere weekly basis. Add that amount monthly, and then yearly. That's a lot of trash. The people who are our Waste Collecters are awesome.
