City of Salinas Downtown Parking Garage

Had my car broken into while parked here, and the people who run it refused to help me even though I paid to park there. The security is extremely bad.

Every machine is broken. Had ticket validated at movie theater but when inserted ticket to get out at gate it didn’t work. Wife got out and went to attendant who said even though it was validated still needed to check out with her. Makes no sense. She had attitude over it

Parking lot employee needs an attitude check. I tried paying my ticket at the exit, but it wouldn't read my card. I tried it multiple times different ways. (Machine also didnt give me back my ticket btw) I decided to go to the booth where she was at to ask for help. I tried to explain to her my situation but she cut me off and asked for the ticket. I tried telling her that the machine didn't give me back the ticket. She checked the machine at the exit and said that none of these could have been mine and she just left back to the booth. I looked for the ticket in my car, just in case. I just couldn't find it. I started getting an anxiety attack. She kept looking over at me which just made me feel so much worse. Sadly, I was in downtown Salinas last night to have dinner and enjoy our great downtown atmosphere. After looking for a parking space on the street I went to the parking garage. I pulled up on my Harley and went to get my ticket and was met by the parking attendant, she asked if I was pulling through to get to the other side. No, I wasn't, I intended to park. To my utter amazement I was told motorcycles can't park here. I was very unhappy and asked why? Apparently the City of Salinas feels that motorcycles do not belong in the parking garage. Good job City of Salinas, way to drive money away from the downtown area that you have worked so hard to improve and promote.

The lady today was very rude. She threw the money at me. I like oldtown, love the restaurants around the area but do not appreciate the way she was.
