City Parking 300-302 E 46th St Garage

I have parked at this garage regularly and have never experienced anything like what occurred on January 28, 2026, around 3:03 PM. A male staff member spoke to me in an extremely aggressive and hostile tone that made me feel physically unsafe and intimidated as a woman. The interaction was so uncomfortable that a male friend who was with me felt compelled to step in and address his behavior, telling him there was no reason to speak to me that way. I had never encountered this individual before, and this experience was completely out of line with what any customer should expect. Regardless of the situation, no staff member should speak to a customer in a way that causes fear or intimidation. DO NOT PARK HERE. Booked on Spot Hero and they told me we owed $20 when we went to pick up the car. Would not bring the car until we threatened to call the police. SCAMMERS run this business.

We prepaid for parking on SpotHero, and when we got there they said that they were overbooked so they couldn’t take us. So we naturally asked for a refund since they wouldn’t give us the service that we paid for and they absolutely refused to refund us.

The people at 300 East 46th Street parking are absolute filth!! They would not honor the pre-paid parking on SpotHero, and held my car hostage. I had to call the NYC Police to get access to my car. DO NOT PARK AT THIS LOT!!!!!!!

Staff is friendly and punctual in their timings. Very reasonable price. They have great parking skills. The entrance is very compact and definitely risky for people who are not perfect in driving. They usually check for a trachea when you give your vehicle for parking but while collecting they don’t remind you but I strongly suggest you to check your vehicle before collecting for a possibility of scratches. They would deny and try to defend them selves. They recently installed soft foam to only some pillars in their attempt to protect from scratching the car.
