CJW Chimney & Fireplace

Awful service, more damage was done to our beautiful fire place vs the work we requested. Tools and dirty rags were left in our basement-- We were told the owner would call and he never did. Avoid the headache and find any other chimney service, they can't be worse than this dumpster fire. The service rep left my house without any warning or notification of the work completed. They refused to handle the situation over the phone, they then called the police who sided with me and made the owner apologize and shake hands. This owner has personal problems he's bringing to work. He lied to me, he lied to the police and he will lie to you! It's no wonder their website only has one good review-- and it's the one spot they can control reviews and not direct their fabricated lies. PS- I even cook

I'm glad others have had good experiences but after years of being a loyal customer, I will no longer be a dealing with CJW Chimney. My woodstove doors were working just fine until CJW came and put new gaskets on them. Too much detail to go into so my best advice is to check pricing from other companies for whatever work you are requesting. I have since learned that I was charged, at least, double of other companies in the area (all with good ratings). Shop around. In response to owner ... Wanted my gas fireplace repaired. I like to support local so I started here. $200 to walk in the door, tell me replacement parts aren’t available, but I did get a quote for $6K for a new fireplace! Contacted someone else, $400 of parts and labor to fix it.

We have used CJW for a couple years now and have had great experiences. When they arrive they lay out cloth to protect our flooring from dust and dirt which I really appreciate. They provide detailed feedback with images of the camera inspection of our fireplace. If an issue arises they are quick to respond and make it right which can be hard to find with some companies.
