Colonial Van and Storage

Our move ran smoothly using Colonial Van Lines . Movers were courteous , professional and handle our items with the utmost care . Great communication all the way around . We had a long distance move from WI to California . I would use Colonial Van Lines again !

Robert and Bovar were in charge of delivering our household goods and they were excellent 😄 I can say we are very happy we trusted Colonial Van and Storage with handling our household goods. Our experience with Colonial Van Lines has been a nightmare. On the phone, we were quoted 5-10 days to move our belongings from Houston to California. We paid the $1600 deposit. On January 2nd, 2022 our movers showed up. They told us an 18 wheeler couldn’t fit there and they need a special shuttle to get our belongings for about $400 extra even though our previous company used an 18 wheeler and just parked it on the street. Then, when they showed up we realized the job had been contracted out to a small mom and pop mover called Cal Van Lines (we were not given a heads up about this). AFTER loading our stuff that day they told us our stuff would arrive in 10 days because they had to go to Florida first. (Houston->florida->california???). From the quote process with Rene, the management process with Kentrail and the moving with Billy and his team, this was a great experience. It was my first time using a moving company and Rene was very thorough in explaining how the process worked and made me feel comfortable. Kentrail's regular followup and check ins up to my move, during and after was great and not something you see nowadays in customer service. I also have a dog and cat in my home and Billy's team was so nice to them and mindful of where they were when opening and closing doors and that is very important as a pet parent. I would recommend Colonial Van Lines to anyone who is going through a move.
