Be AWARE of this company for multiple reasons, all of which happened to ME in August 2025: 1.) They employ deceitful selling tactics where they will "lower" your original estimate to "work with you" when what they're actually doing is also lowering the estimated weight to be transported. 2.) They will subcontract the job to shady shipping companies without telling you beforehand. 3.) They will mix your belongings with those of other customers. 4.) They will show up with an almost full truck. Later they had to get a UHAUL: Yes, a UHAUL. See attached. 5.) They will jam your belongins in the truck. See attached. 6.) BEWARE!!!!! 4 months after damage to our piano and still no resolution. They clearly don't drug screen their employees. This is absolutely unacceptable. i’ve been trying to get an answer for over four months now. Your company provided a team of movers, two of whom were completely under the influence while on my property. You clearly failed to drug test your employees. In doing so, you are negligent for the damages they caused, and resolution is now your responsibility. I want an answer by the end of the day; otherwise, I will pursue this through my attorney. They dropped a $60,000 piano! Cosmetic repairs did not completely restore this piano, which was less than three years old. I had items moved from a relatives house in another state to my home. When I researched moving companies, I specifically asked each if they broker or outsourced to other companies. The Colonial employee emphatically said that they are not a broker and all their truck are their own. At time of scheduling, I paid the deposit and was told I would pay the balance at time of final delivery. The day before pick-up, we learned that Colonial had outsourced this job to another moving company. My relative experienced that the brokered (EDIT: 3rd party) mover required payment at time of pick-up made out in the name of the brokered company. I was embarrassed and upset that the information that I was provided by Colonial did not align with our true experience (either the Colonial staff was not trained

I had an amazing experience with Colonial during my long-distance move. From the very beginning, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly organized. Moving across states can be stressful, but they made the entire process smooth and worry-free. The movers arrived on time and kept me updated throughout the journey. Everything arrived safely and right on schedule. If you're planning a long-distance move and want a reliable, efficient, and friendly team, I highly recommend them. They turned what could have been a stressful experience into a seamless one!

Worst moving company. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE A BROKER AND NOT A MOVING COMPANY. Destroyed 80% of my stuff outsourcing their work to POSH MOVING COMPANY. They took 140 days to come to a resolution that paid out $430 from a $12k damage done to my furniture and electronics.. They should not be in business.
