We got our HVAC system 15 yrs ago. At that time Comfort Control Systems was great. We had a maintenance agreement for them to come twice a year to check both our AC unit and our furnace. Fast track to this year, June 2025. The guy came to do the maintenance on the AC unit and the guy tells my husband that we need a whole new AC unit because we have a leak and that Trane, (the unit we have), no longer allows them to service this machine. He didn’t perform any check of what was wrong, if there was anything really wrong. He quotes us, just for the AC unit, $10,000. We didn’t pay that for AC and heat. So we got a second opinion. Come to find out, all we needed was 1lb of 410 refrigerant. There is no leak, as the guy from Comfort Control stated, and had it had a leak they can still get the part
