This week we had a five star experience with Contemporary Air ! We have a gas fueled furnace that inconveniently needed to be turned off for safety per BGE Recommendation due to a gas leak within the system . We have a toddler and of course this would happen in January! Rick from Contemporary Air showed up for us FAST, and found a solution to our problem just as promptly. Rick was detailed and took the time to educate and explain to me what was wrong; I’m a customer with ZERO knowledge base in this trade so I really needed and appreciated that.. I couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful for Rick & Michelle from Contemporary Air. Tonight my family is safe and warm; they will be my first call always for any heat/air concern.

Rick is the man. Very personable, friendly staff, accommodating, considers what is best for you, excellent work on a tough job (refrigerant leak). It is good to know I finally found an HVAC guy I can trust in the area. 100% recommend.

Rick was amazing to work with. He was able to come the same day I called about a safety issue I thought I was having with my furnace, which Rick found was not malfunctioning at all. Many companies would have found something to “fix” to charge you for. What more can you ask for in a contractor? Fast service, trustworthy, & personable. Any future problems I or my friends/family have I will happily refer to Contemporary Air Systems!

Rick and his 2 man crew just finished installing my new air conditioner a few hours ago and at Rick's suggestion I added an additional return vent into my HVAC system. Rick also found I had an undersized coil installed inside and went out of his way to make sure the proper sized coil given my duct sizing. Those two things alone improved the efficiency of my system. Rick and his wife, Michelle, are the kind of folks you want on the other end of the phone when it's time to spend some money on your home. I requested a replacement for my old 4 ton unit and being young and naive I requested the most efficient (also most expensive) unit currently on the market. Rick and Michelle recommended I make sure the more efficient / expensive unit made sense for my home given the extra cost. After checkin

Contemporary Air is exactly what you’d hope for in an HVAC company. It’s a small, local business run by a super friendly husband-and-wife team with tons of experience. I had a mini split installed, and Rick was upfront and honest from start to finish. He walked me through every decision—brand, location, size—and gave solid advice without trying to push an expensive system. On installation day, he did an outstanding job, using high-quality materials that’ll last, and somehow the room was cleaner than it was when he arrived. The whole process was as smooth as it gets, and I couldn’t be happier. Compared to the big corporate chains I’ve dealt with before, this was a completely different, way better experience. There’s a reason they have a 5/5 star rating!
