Cosentino's Market Parking

DO NOT park here! Your parking validation does not work. You will be charged $45!! I welcome the management of this parking garage to contact me to resolve my issue and then I may change this review. I was in downtown for 4 hours on Friday, 7/25, and visited the B&B theatres + their bar for the evening. I validated my parking ticket with the theatre and arrived back at my car in under 4 hours. When I scanned my ticket it charged me the full parking price $36/4 hours, but did not account for my validation. I re-parked, walked the two blocks back to the theatre to try and investigate. The theatre couldn’t do anything because my ticket should have worked (see attached picture of validation bar code). No sign for event parking prices, daily limit said $42, ended up paying $45. The parking garage right across the street, connected to the Midland was only $17 event parking so I assumed they would be about the same price, that was an expensive mistake. I'll never be using this garage again. Parking cost more than an event ticket.

I have never been charged so much for parking for 4hrs. 45 $ later not to mention the wrong date is on my ticket. This is absurd 😭

Obviously being in downtown location, parking is a bit of a challenge. I can't give it five stars because you have to pay to park. There are a few spots out front but unfortunately people abuse those as they are only supposed to be for 10 minutes. I was in side for at least 45 minutes. Eating, and three out of the four cars. Never did move. I think the location would be better off to monitor that a little bit better than to allow people to abuse it.

Again, this is a wonderful, very personal downtown KCMO Super Market. About two and four months ago when I first relocated to the Library District, I shopped here. A young woman followed me and asked if she could help me carrying my many bags to my car when I left those bags at the checkout counter and had my little diner at the other side of the store. Tonight another very nice young cashier, Bleu, helped me packaging my bag with three layers upon knowing my age. I thanked him for taking good care of someone as old as his grandma! (Haha) I shared my experience with the Director and then decided to take a photo of him for my gratitude.
