Custom Marble Design

I replaced the cabinets in my laundry room with cabinets from Lowe's. They arranged for Custom Marble Design to make and install the countertops. They sent one person to come and measure and make templates. He took my laundry sink with him so they could deliver it already attached to the solid surface countertop. Two other people came to do the install about two weeks later. They arrived on time and completed the install in 45 minutes. I could not be happier with the excellent communication throughout the process and with the material and workmanship of the countertops. I especially appreciated the minimal and expert finishing with caulking. They used paintable white caulk against the drywall and clear silicone caulk in the corners and against wood trim. Purchased our countertop through RTA/Sage Surfaces, and were assigned CMD as a "subcontractor". We initally saw the low rating on Google and tried to be optimistic, but unfortunately our experienced matched that. Communication with CMD has been subpar. There was some initial confusion finding our order since we went through another company. There also have been times it was hard to get someone on the phone. During several exchanges, the office staff was rude and/or not empathetic in dealing with concerns and scheduling. The installation window was changed on us a few hours after initial schedule, with two different reasons given including being bumped by another client. We contracted through Lowe's for new quartz countertops for a renovated space. Custom Marble Design was amazing! From the first communication the day after order placement, through templating and installation, we were so impressed. The craftmanship and professionalism were always on display! Awesome staff - top quality customer service!! CMD was a great experience. Knowledge and attention to detail was unmatched. Perfect measurements, cuts, and beautiful finished product. I needed shower sills for a small bathroom remodel and they were excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.
