Jay and the Deck Works crew did an AMAZING job replacing our old, outdated deck. After receiving so many inflated quotes and becoming frustrated with the bidding process, our landscaper contractor recommended Jay. His quote was not only fair, but he also provided various decking options working within our budget. Jay came prepared for every meeting with notes, drawings, etc. between our architect & landscaper. He is extremely knowledgeable about the various decking options (we chose TimberTech) and code regulations. Once the project started, he communicated with us daily on status but was always available for questions, attended every inspection and was spot on with the project completion date. I gotta give a shoutout to Jay and the whole Deck Works crew who rocked the construction of my big, complicated deck. Seriously, they did an amazing job and were just awesome to work with. From the get-go, it was clear they knew their stuff. The site made the job extra difficult and they tackled all the obstacles and challenges like pros, and the end result blew me away. Jay and his team did an excelente job building our deck. Jay was very professional in preparing all the documents for HOA and township approvals. When the work started everything was planed that the inspections will follow completion of each step in the process . Before getting in to this project we checked with about 10 contractors and Deck Works was exactly what we were looking for. The price was always in the same range more or less with all of the contractor but Jay was the most professional, always available and reliable. I would put it this way, many contractors want to get paid to build the deck and Deck Works want to build a high quality deck in order to get paid. Highly recommended!

After 14 years in the same house my Wife said it was time. The front porch was falling apart and we wanted to completely redo it without changing the footprint. A few years back we had to have our roof done and the roofer (Integrity Roofing - awesome btw) recommended Deck Works in Kinnelon, NJ. He came and together we went through what we wanted and how he would deliver. When the time for the job came, he arrived on time and his crew was very efficient and professional. To say Jay delivered is an understatement. He delivered a beautiful finished product in EXACTLY the timeframe he promised. So the first picture is what we had before the repair.
