I can't say enough great things about Doug, Keith, Heather, and the whole team from start to finish! The first thing that made Decks by Schmillen stand out to us was they took the time to listen to what we wanted and made a unique design for our unusual yard that actually delivered what we wanted in a way we hadn't thought about. They also took the time to shop around materials to provide us with good/better/best options for our budget that we presented. Neither of these things were done by the 5 other teams we interviewed. The Decks by Schmillen team was on time every day, respectful of our property, and easy to work with. They finished the job with quality and were easy to communicate with every step of the way, including coordinating all our extra inspections since we live in a woodland

Decks by Schmillen completed the upper and lower deck project in 2024 that I have been enjoying beyond measure! Doug, the owner, started with good guidance and thorough planning. Kieth, son and lead in contractor, worked with meticulous attention to detail. Collaboration among the long-term construction team included me and gave confidence throughout. Even my neighbors loved them. They used good quality product and were conscientious in their work and followup. It added value and new use to my home that all who see it admire. Don't hesitate to chose them.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Doug, the owner is friendly and makes sure every step of the way that you are getting what you want. The crew was friendly and efficient, did excellent, quality work and meticulously cleaned up the job site. When the job was complete, there was no sign they had been there other than a beautiful new deck. They do not collect final payment until the building code inspection passes. I highly recommend Decks by Schmillen.
