I called Dependable Electric at 10:20 AM because of a potentially dangerous situation (smoke coming from an outlet). The person who answered assured me their crew was out on jobs but would come as soon as they were done, between 12 and 3. I didn’t call anyone else because I wanted to give them the business and trusted they would show up. When I didn’t hear anything, I called back around 2:15 and left a voicemail. Later, I finally got a call back — at 2:30 only to be told they wouldn’t be able to come at all..!! When I reminded them they had told me someone would come, they insisted they only said they would “try.” This left me without help for a serious electrical problem and wasted valuable time that I could have spent finding another electrician. This company should be ashamed to call themselves “Dependable.” A few years ago, they installed a cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel electrical panel in our home, and it’s been a disaster ever since. Now the situation has become outright dangerous — sparks are flying out of the panel, and we’ve lost hot water. This is a full-blown emergency, and these people couldn’t care less. We booked an appointment WEEKS ago, and when we called to confirm, they acted like they’d never heard of us — tried to gaslight us into thinking we called the wrong number (we didn’t). Then, instead of fixing their own mess, they canceled our appointment like we were the problem. A few years ago, Dependable Electric installed a cheap panel in our home, and we’ve had nothing but problems since. Recently, the situation turned dangerous—sparks started coming out of the panel, and now we have no hot water. This is an emergency, and the company has shown zero concern. We scheduled an appointment weeks ago, but when we called to confirm, they claimed we weren’t on the schedule and tried to make it seem like we called the wrong number—which we absolutely didn’t. Very kind and professional 10/10 would recommend. The receptionist is always very helpful and kind whenever we call. The guys live up to the name and are very dependable. Best in NJ hands down.

Excellent service. Called in the morning and they showed up as promised. Kevin and Pat were true pros- assessed the situation, pinpointed the problem, and fixed it in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend Dependable Electric!
