Descco Design & Construction

My husband and I contacted Descco to finish our basement which included an exercise room, sitting room, full bath, and a family room area. Project manager Tim Heffner, met with us to go over initial details to determine our needs and vision. He presented us with a detailed plan of the proposed renovation and discussed the next steps. The actual project went very smoothly. Carpenter, Bryan, did a great job transforming the space. The sub contractors that were used were also very professional and carried out their duties as described. Tim stopped by often to check on the progress of the project. We were kept up to date on any delays, which were few and far between. We are enjoying the space and have received many complaints about the project. We would recommend Descco for your home remodel

This company came highly recommended, however, my experience was the complete opposite. We hired DESCCO to be our GC because we had little experience with commercial construction. After dealing with this company, we canceled our project due to a serious lack of confidence in DESCCO based on several of their actions/inactions. We may reattempt our project in the future but it will not be with DESCCO. Please keep in mind that this review has nothing to do with the pandemic and the fluctuating pricing this caused. It has to to with the complete mismanagement by the project manager. If I wanted the construction as mismanaged as it was, I would have done it myself.

We have relied on DESCCO for well over 20 years to perform repairs and additions to our apartment building, as well as construction of a pole building. Most recently, DESCCO has remodeled our master bathroom and kitchen and we couldn't be more pleased. The kitchen was just completed in August 2021. Project Manager Tim Heffner took us smoothly from initial design to completed project and did an excellent job keeping us informed of the scheduling, which had to be juggled a few times due to availability of materials. Carpenter Bryan H. provided excellent craftsmanship and always left the job site neat and tidy at the end of the day. DESCCO is our go-to company for a job done right the first time!

I at first had reservations about hiring DESCCO for my residential bridge construction. I knew that they were the premiere company for Berks County commercial bridge projects, so I figured that my project might be too small for them to be interested. I was quickly proved wrong. Sales VP Eric Peterson made the time to meet with me and size up the work. It didn't take long before I received the comprehensive quote on the required work and pricing. I purchased a commercial building that needed a significant amount of demolition and construction work in order to make it usable for my business. I also had a very tight timeline. I had an excellent experience working with Descco. The project manager for my project, Eric Peterson, went to great lengths to accommodate my needs and every Descco employee who worked on my site was pleasant, experienced, and accommodating. My project had a lot of twist and turns, change orders, and last minute changes. The Descco team just rolled with my every need and request.
