Preston has an excellent eye for detail and he was so great to collaborate with during the design process. I wanted oak cabinets and during one of the design meetings he mentioned that he just started carrying a european white oak and the look was exactly what I wanted. I was originally going to go with a shaker style cabinet and again, he showed me a sample of a new design and I just love it. I very much appreciate the collaboration of ideas. I know folks in the design world like to keep excellent trades and vendors a secret - but I have to give praise where praise is due. Down West deserves it. I’ve worked with Preston and the crew at Down West on a number of design jobs - their fit and finish is second to none and that’s likely because their process up front is incredibly thorough. They are excellent at communication (which is key) and they aren’t afraid to make suggestions and get creative. So, there you have it - the secret is out - Down West is the best.

Preston and his team were great to work with. We had no idea what to expect with the process of gutting a kitchen and starting over with all new cabinetry, and the outcome is beautiful and functional. And their shop is a woodworker's paradise.
