Downtown Locksmith

Super great experience here. I needed an extra key made and programmed for my Malibu (keyless entry with mini key embedded). They quoted $200 which is less than half of what the dealer quoted me. I took the car in the next day and they had the key cut and FOB programmed in less than 30 minutes AND it was a refurbished OEM part, which is better than new off-brand keys in my experience. They could probably improve on the customer service part, like being more welcoming and friendly, but that's just a small part of the experience. Overall a great experince.

Let me tell you - this place is leaps and bounds better than any other locksmith shop. You get a real answer, don't feel sold, and they do great work and stand by it. I've used them for lots of different things and while working for different companies. I drive past 3 or 4 other shops just to go here. They are fair, they are fast (but busy so wait your turn), and they are friendly. Prices vary with work. Some stuff just costs more than you'd expect- it is what it is but when you shop around - they are in line or cheaper. Look no further.

I needed my car door unlocked at 8 am on a holiday . I called several places and every one of them was double the price of what downtown locksmith quoted me . after agreeing on the low price they told me it would be about 30 minutes before they could get to me. Andrew actually showed up in about 20 minutes, which was great I’ve read about and heard terrible stories about using locksmiths but Andrew was amazing !! He took his time and was very knowledgeable, he even taught me a couple things about my car that I didn’t know as well as he was very patient with my three year-old daughter, she watching his every move and all up in his space . so I am so grateful for them- not being able to drive my car and get my car keys was going to be terrible and really cause a lot of issues.
