This company does not even deserve one star. BUYER BEWARE!!! I contacted Mike Walsh (owner) of DW Construction, LLC to install two privacy panels on an existing deck. At first he appears to be a really great guy. He gains your confidence, prices the job right and you hire him. He installed the two panels within a few hours and left. Upon inspection of the privacy panels, one of the top rails had a large dent on the top of it. I was surprised that they would have installed it that way without telling me and ordering a new top rail. I contacted Mike regarding this. He said he would order a new panel. When one of his guys installed the top rail, he scratched the rail up and cut it too short. I contacted Mike and he said he would order another rail. I never heard from him after that. In t

I had DW come out to give me a quote for replacing a metal awning with a new porch roof. They were very responsive and quick with coming out to give the quote. When they were here the crew was very neat and organized. The crew was here for a total of 6 days and my porch roof and new railings look amazing. I would recommend this company to anyone. Edited on 5/26 I have been trying to get the company to come out and fix the gutters that they installed for almost a year. Have been ghosted and ignored on multiple occasions. I filed a complaint with the BBB this morning.

Was looking to replace a step down 10 x 10 concrete pad with a walk out deck that had a finished trim to the ground. I found DW Construction at the pittsburgh home show where I found out they did another deck in my neighborhood. The deck they did for thr other home in the neighborhood was beautiful, so went with them. They are very professional and answered any questions or concerns I had. Easy to work with and completed everything in a week because the weather worked in our favor. I couldn't be happier.

Initially everything went very well - reasonable quote, got started quickly, and Tom was very reliable, working in freezing temps and long days. Mike never came after the initial visit. Therefore the deck took a long time to build and at the end they wanted to finish and move on and did haphazard things such as a shoddy job initially on the steps, leaving my gate open and breaking the hinges)” (which were not fixed), and uneven/un-level areas. Tom didn’t want to trim around an outlet and offered to replace it - I asked if he was capable of doing this and he said yes, cut off the wires and then said it was above his abilities.
