East Parking Garage

It was okay, could be better and cleaner. But we made due for what we needed. It was close enough to the museum for us to walk.

This is permit parking only!!! It's not for the public!

Don't expect to be able to stay out of the weather while you walk between here and any place beyond the capital building. The pedestrian tunnels are only available for workers in specific buildings. For example, the closest you can get to 99 Washington before walking outside is on the plaza near the DMV.

We missed the visitor parking for Empire State Plaza and ended up here. Not sure how much they normally charge for parking but we were able to park for free when we visited for the 4th of July festivities. From here, it was an easy 5-minute walk to the plaza.

This is the parking garage for the Times Union arena. We went to a concert there and parked in this garage. While many people were at the concert there was not a long wait either getting in or out. The fee for event parking is $10, it is worth it because it's very convenient. Services and restrooms are located inside the arena.
