E.J. Gare Parking Garage

I visited Northampton a few weeks ago and while I am a former resident and enjoy shopping downtown and usually park in front of Thornes it was freezing cold so I decided to park in the garage. The garage ended up being very convenient. Although I do have a complaint. That is, upon leaving I put my ticket in the machine to pay which was an easy transaction but when I got to the gate to leave I was in a panic because I did not know the same ticket was needed to leave out the gate. Thankfully a guy cleaning the garage was able to help me out. It would be nice if there was a sign when paying for your ticket that says”keep your ticket upon leaving the garage for existing”. Thank you!

7/27/25: .75¢ a hour to park safely and securely. Very worth it when parking is scarce. Plus helpful tip: strip side up on credit card when paying to leave at gate (yes there usually is a sign) cash pays in the side entrance area before leaving. Spent 7 hours got charged 4.50 so one hour was free can't beat that.

Can someone confirm to me if the Parking Garage is still 75 cents per hour but the first hour would be free. If that's the case, I plan on coming to Northampton around Springtime of this year. If that's the case Ill definitely park here since its right in downtown

Pay stations are all broken 20-minute line to get out... Avoid at all costs

Best parking garage for visits to Northampton. Inexpensive, accessible and I always appreciate the care they put into maintaining the flowers that decorate the outside.
