We had an amazing experience working with Jose Escobar from Elite Group Inspection! He was professional, kind, and extremely thorough. He was very patient as he answered all of our questions on what he found and why certain issues need to be addressed. Jose inspected the entire house from top to bottom and provided a very detailed report with pictures helping us understand what is going on with our home purchase. Definitely recommend this company and especially Jose Escobar!!!

I hired Elite Home Inspections upon the recommendation of my realtor and other realtors in the OC. Turns out this was probably the biggest mistake of my life. Upon moving in, we found a major mold issue in the kitchen among many issues our inspector (Eric) failed to note. While Eric could have run a moisture meter in the kitchen to alert us of potential moisture issues, he failed to do so and told us point blank the home would not encounter such issues. Aside from a few minor fixes noted, he said the home passed with flying colors and couldn't have been more wrong. We are paying thousands to fix things that any competent home inspector would have noted both verbally and in the report. We purchased a house earlier this year, and the inspection was arranged by our realtor. On the day of, the inspector seemed friendly and efficient, but he also seemed more concerned about getting through his checklist as quickly as possible than performing a thorough inspection. For example, when I asked him whether the foundation had been seismically retrofitted with anchor bolts, he said there wasn't easy enough access in the crawlspace to be able to tell. And in the report he just assumed, "Anchor Bolts: None - typical for homes built prior to 1935." First, our house was built in 1938. Second, it's been renovated extensively, so it's not unreasonable to think the foundation might be retrofitted. And third, isn't it your job to confirm this? I used this company for a home inspection later last year. I was told about a lot of small things like a not properly installed/mounted plug in the access area in the wall for the HVAC. So, I thought this company was no joke... Which was an about $30,000 mistake. As I paid the extra fee for the "pool/spa inspection". The inspector had zero idea what he was doing with the pool "inspection". The pool turned out to be completely compromised. The plaster lining has to be replaced because there are cracks so that are leak leaking behind the plaster. The entire filter and heater are compromised. Everything has to be replaced.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! They missed a MAJOR issue & it cost us thousands & thousands of dollars to properly fix the problem. I called & left voicemails & never got a response back. I text & never heard back from them. They are AWFUL & should NOT be in business!!! The Better Business Bureau gave them a F rating!!! I can see why.
