We worked on some great projects with this company when Chuck was at the helm. His sons have now taken over and are running this company into the ground. They don’t know construction and it shows by how they treat subs and their own employees. Also, they take forever to pay subs and suppliers.

Colorado consumers beware! In 2020 we paid Emerald Construction Management a generous retainer of $10k to work with us on some pre-construction activities and accompany us on a few site walks/visits before we finally signed a lease and selected a site. The time spent with us was estimated to be worth about $2500 according to industry standards, other general contractors and construction management companies. Once we selected a site we requested a proposal from Emerald and two other contractors for interior renovations and space planning. Their bid was $140k higher than the next highest bidder on an approximately $275k job, almost 50% higher, so naturally we didn't hire Emerald. They thought that just because we entered in to an up front retainer with them that they were entitled to the job
