Epic Escapes

We cannot recommend Phil’s Epic Pools enough. We had a saltwater pool, hot tub, stone work, lighting, automatic cover, and fencing done seamlessly! The end result was magazine worthy. Phil reminds me of family with his warmth and honesty. He has incredible taste and his design work is some of the best I’ve ever seen. I would never have a pool done with anyone else and have referred him as well with the same feedback. He will not rip you off and the work again is better than any I’ve seen.

Unprofessional and Unaccountable- A Frustrating Experience I'm sharing this to help others make an informed decision before hiring Epic Escapes in Saint Charles. They originally built the pool at the home I purchased and also handled the pool closing for the previous owner. Unfortunately, when I had the pool opened by another company this spring, it was discovered that the spa had not been properly winterized-the spa wasn't plugged-which led to a cracked valve and expensive repairs. I contacted Epic Escapes to ask if they stood behind their work, but they denied responsibility and never returned my calls. Hoping for a resolution, I went to their office and spoke with Donna. Epic Escapes did an amazing job on our fiberglass pool installation and hardscape. The planning process was clear and transparent and they were always very responsive and I was able to be a part of the design process for each step. It is not an easy job to install a pool with weather issues but they always were responsive and kept us informed if we had any questions. They are truly a great company and their workmanship is top of the line. We are so thankful for Epic Escapes, our backyard looks amazing.

At first Phil and Donna were very friendly and insightful making things sound so simple, until we signed their contract. They gave us the impression we could make changes at anytime but reacted annoyed every time we decided to add or change something. Often times they didn’t even respond to our concerns and never let us know when they were going to be showing up to do work. Make sure to read the contract carefully especially if any changes are made, as at one point they had removed a piece of equipment we had included without our knowledge, which we didn’t find out until after the installation; I assume to make it look like the price was lower, or they just weren’t competent enough to correctly update the changes we’d requested. Great company. Did my fiberglass pool and spa, as well as patio 3 years ago. Still to this day they respond to my questions, and Donna in their office is the best around. She responds immediately and never leaves me wondering. I use them to service my pool still, and they do all my open and closings. Had some warranty issues and Phil responded to my texts and took care of them. Most companies build your pool and run, especially the last few years when there is a long list of people wanting backyard escapes. Phil and company are the best around, and also the most creative for your project. Same staff and crew for 3 years which tells you something about the quality of the company.
