Safety Hazard Corrected, but Cost Me Out-of-Pocket I hired this company for a roof replacement in 2023. I recently discovered they had installed a screened attic vent over my dryer exhaust. Per Killeen Building Code (IRC M1502.3), this is a major fire hazard as screens trap lint and block airflow. Because my dryer stopped working shortly after the roof install, this was a latent defect only caught recently by an HVAC professional when I purchased a new set. He stated he could see the vent blocked with lint. The Good: Once notified, the company sent someone out to provide some parts and labor for free to swap the vent.
