Essential Home Inspection

I paid $900 for a complete home inspection service. The inspector was unable to complete the service. I had to hire another provider, who cost $200 to tell me that the gas is turned off in the home. The initial inspector should have easily been able to diagnose that. I communicated my concerns with their customer service representative, who offered $100 off of my next inspection through them. Definitely not worth the investment. Would not recommend. I expressed during, after, & further after my disappointment. EHI continues to say that I was satisfied, however I was unhappy with the service to the point that the inspector (Steve) said that he would offer me a "significant discount" if I hired them for my next inspection.

I worked with Chuck during my home inspection and he took the time to explain everything to me in a way that made sense and pointed several things. The report was thorough and easy to understand for a first time home buyer. Highly recommend.

Chuck Carpenter is a very informative home inspector, I am a new home owner and was given 5 days to find a home inspector, luckily my husband and I found him quickly to use his services. We needed a home inspector who had experience, knowledge and certification because Michigan doesn't require licensure for home inspectors. We also wanted an inspector who could complete a sewer scope and only a few home inspectors provide this service. Chuck was able to complete our inspection in 2.5 hrs for a 1,200sq ft home. He gave me piece of mind in my purchase and answered any questions I had. He also told me about any areas of home improvement I need to be aware of. Also, what purchases I can plan for in the future. I recommend him!

Steve is very good and does a very detailed inspection this is our 2nd home he has done super at communicating etc
