After getting an outrageous estimate with unnecessary work from another firm , I contacted Eric at Evanston Masonry for a proposal. I only told him I wanted my home tuckpointed and no other details. He did ask if we had any leaks. They inspected the house and provided a detailed proposal, which included replacing a cracked glass block window, which they noticed. Their proposal was to grind out any loose broken mortar and re-point as needed. They did an excellent job matching the tan mortar color. Window and door frames were recaulked as needed. We are very satisfied with the work and how clean the area was left each day. The entire house was power washed to remove any loose dust after completing the repairs. Evanston Masonry did excellent work rebuilding our appliance chimney. I communicated with Eric, and from start to finish he was responsive and thorough. Eric handled all the coordination between the different parties involved which made the whole process stress-free for us.
