Derek was incredible to work with! From the start he was incredibly responsive and even met me at the stone botique. He was very honest and transparent regarding pricing and didn’t push me toward any upgrades. He made sure everything was perfect and worked closely with the carpenter. We originally came across Derek and Exotic Stone as he is one of the few quality quartzite dealers we could find in the Chicago area. After finding the slab we knew was right for our renovation we worked with him on fabrication. He is extremely professional, and provided quality work on a tight timeline we are so happy with. Also very impressed with his emphasis on safety. He worked with us to create a plan for safe installation of a custom piece over our hood as seen in the photos. And lastly, had no complaints with getting all materials up to our third floor walk up. A big plus if in a Chicago condo! Beautiful results!

We chose Exotic Stone for the quartzite for our kitchen remodel. Derek is excellent - very personable, knowledgeable and obviously experienced in his field. He is very prompt with communication and answered all of our questions. In addition to providing the raw material, Exotic also fabricated and installed this stone for our countertops - including on the large island, for which Derek was the only one we contacted who even had a quartzite that size. Everything was measured and cut precisely, brought in and and installed safely & cleanly ( even while we were not at home, so very trustworthy) and the Taj Mahal looks beautiful. We don't hesitate to recommend Exotic to anyone looking for a great stone company for their remodel.
