My wife and I own an old Victorian home build in 1848 which still retained much of its original standing seam tin roof. However years of neglect and numerous scrapings had caused numerous leaks in critical places. We wished to replace the original roof with a modern roof that maintained the same aesthetics. Fania worked closely with us to define materials that would provide the aesthetics and a concept that kept the price within reach (to be sure this was not an inexpensive roof!). Fania did everything they said they would do in precisely the time agreed upon. The workmanship was outstanding. The company worked with us on the unexpected issues that are always present with an old house. Overall we were extremely pleased. We can recommend Fania without reservation.

I called Fania roofing recently to fix a spot leak in my roof. They would not schedule an appointment without a $500 deposit and signing a contract which requires you to pay $250 an hour ($125 per worker with two workers paid at minimum) for their work. I later found that “portal to portal service,” which is in the contract, means they actually charge you $250 an hour while they are driving to and from your house. When they arrived on the property they did their work without calling me to discuss what they found. I never received a quote or options for the problem with my roof. When working on the roof they found a small 3x5 inch index card sized area of incorrect type roofing patch had been previously applied to the roof and was coming up. I am an architect and have found Fania Roofing to be very professional. They are experienced with the intricacies of slate, copper, cedar shingle, and other roofs that need special skills, as well as the more standard EPDM or asphalt shingle roofs. They have been in business for a very long time and I trust that they will continue to be in business. Most roofs do not leak right after they are installed, but years later; so it is important that the roofing company will still be in business when a problem arises. Chad Brandon is the architectural representative and he has been very helpful to me when I am detailing or specifying any unusual roof.
