I learned today why prices are not posted for items in the store. I picked up 70-80 pipe fittings. On checkout, I should have questioned the higher than expected cost but didn't. I got back to my office to compare prices to McMaster Carr only to find that I paid $225 more than I needed to. I called and quested their prices and was told to come in and talk to the Manager. I guess it can't be discussed on the phone. I know with restocking it won't be worth my time. Lesson learned. Don't buy pipe fittings here. Order from McMaster Carr.

My clerk ignored my plumbing issue, probably because the dollars were not going to be big enough. Feigned almost complete ignorance as I described my common issue. Never asked a single question. But this man-child temporarily perched at Ferguson cannot troubleshoot. That's a problem in plumbing. I suspect he will soon be on to his next "career" soon enough. My experience was at the bottom of the barrel. Maybe even outside of the barrel, laying on the ground. I've had way more plumbing help at Home Depot, if that gives you any perspective. Ferguson will apparently hire any body.

Walked in to Ferguson plumbing, in which Home Depot refered me to. I was playing plumber at my Grandsons in Temple City when I checked under the kitchen sink and saw the pipe out of the wall in which the drain connects to was rotted out. The lower pipe along the bottom was missing, corroded, and eatened up. Lucky for them the gentleman behind the counter helped me. He saved my future daughter-in-law and her Mom a lot of money. And of course, I saved them close to $300.00 in labor. So, the moral of my story is to ask questions, be at the right place,with the right person , and they will set you up with the right price for your repairs.
