Fox Valley Landscaping

As a PLA (Professional Landscape Architect), I have been working with Jake Meltz (owner of FVL) for nearly four years. He has bid on, won, and installed numerous of my projects ranging from $12 - $800 K with percision and integrity. I have worked with the best landscapers in the area and consider Jake to be in the top 10%. He is a smaller company, but unlike other small companies, his attention to detail and humility set him apart. Although there are very few times I've seen an issue arise, he has been quick to respond, and many times, even when not his fault, I've witnessed him take responsibility and eat the cost just to help the customer... a true, Christian practitioner. I chose to write this response because a former client of Jake's decided to defame his character and spread lies

Knowledgeable and professional folks that do the job you ask for and they explain what they are doing along the way and what to expect. Very friendly to work with. Easy to recommend them to others.

These guys are incredible! I have a shared well with my neighbor and it has given us problems with leaking over the last couple years. My neighbor was insistent on using “their guy” to fix it, that was nothing but a nightmare. After multiple failures to resolve the issue and a quote from them to dig up everything between our houses, I asked Jake to come take a look. He identified the problem immediately and set to work to fix it. He went above and beyond and with care and precision. He explained the problems as he encountered them and fixed it for 1/10th of the other guys quote. This is a company and owner full of integrity, they do a great job. Ohh, and my neighbor? Yeah, they now have a new “their guy”, that’s this guy right here.

I was quoted $9,900 to reset a 10 ft by 16 ft area of patio pavers. I can't say what kind of work these folks may do, but I can say that you should definitely get a second estimate. My second estimate was $1,200, which is much more closely aligned with other estimates. I could venture a guess that this ridiculous estimate was because I fly a rainbow flag in front of my house, but it would just be a guess.

We really enjoyed working with Fox Valley Landscaping from start to finish. They helped us through the initial planning to better understand what was possible along with the minor details. Once the project started, they were professional, communicated any updates, and worked with us to make changes. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and are looking forward to using our patio for years to come.
