I read reviews and looked at Facebook comments for heating contractors in southern York County. I contacted the top rated three and got quotes for a total HVAC system replacement. All three were highly rated with more than a mere handful of reviews. The big multi-state conglomerate had a fancy tablet with an app. They input everything into the app and gave me an estimate right on the spot. Not much explanation and kind of impersonal. Also, considerably higher priced than the two local companies. The two local companies were very close in price. But one stood out, Freedom Heating & Cooling LLC. Justin Ballou looked at my system, listened to me, explained things in layman's terms (not heating contractor speak) and gave me two options to choose from. He was the low bid of the three I got.

Justin is fantastic! He worked tirelessly to fix our furnace and make sure we had heat during the bitter cold weather! He was honest, reliable, and went above and beyond. We will definitely use him for any future work and will recommend him to friends and family!

Had Justin from Freedom Heating & Cooling replace my 29 year old furnace, I highly recommend because he went above and beyond, and got several estimates and I don't think his prices can be beat. He cleaned up everything after he was finished, after a week or two the programable thermostat didn't seem like it was working right and I called him and he replaced it. He is very friendly and anyone I know that's looking for any Heating or Air Conditioning I will let them know about Justin from Freedom Heating & Cooling. It's hard to find a Company with a 5 star rating.

It takes only 10–15 seconds to realize that Maurice is a highly capable professional who genuinely enjoys his work. He took the time to explain the details of HVAC heating and cooling and gave us some valuable insights. The quote was reasonable, all the equipment was ordered promptly, and installed (with his able assistant John) in just one day. The attention to detail was outstanding, the work-- comprehensive. We normally don’t sign up for maintenance plans, but we are seriously considering it after this experience. This company has a five-star rating, and they truly deserve it.
