We had a crumbling front step that was not done properly when it was made roughly 20 years ago by a different owner. We'd used Mike in the past for a different project (parging outer foundation) and were impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail, friendly personality and great craftsmanship. We met with Mike a few times to discuss what design would be best for a new front step that would last for decades, not pool water around house and go with existing stonework path. He was so patient with all of our questions and took the time to explain exactly what he'd do. We're so pleased with the results and can't wait to hire him to come replace the front door and threshold.

​My husband and I highly recommend Mike Gabello of Gabello Construction. We hired him to install a large kitchen island we'd ordered, some of whose parts we discovered were missing or defective. Lucky for us it became quickly clear that Mike is a ​highly competent problem​-solver and a ​s​easoned craftsman. ​For example, some extra pull​-out drawers provided for our cabinets had rails that were meant to be bottom-mounted​, and ​Mike creatively fashioned shims and adapters so they could be correctly side-mounted. Not only do they work, they ​a​ppear to be the correct hardware for the application. There ​a​lso was a problem with the wood flooring under the old cabinet not extending all the way under. We love the work that Mike did for us, replacing 2 sets of crumbling front steps with lovely stonework stairs, as well as repairing our sagging back porch and putting in new stairs there too. Gabello Construction did a great job fixing our front porch. He proposed two possible solutions and did the cheaper one to save us money. A great guy doing quality work.

Mike did great work. He gave a clear bid on the job, and came in on budget—not time and materials. He's an easy guy to work with and did great, thorough work. Three thumbs up!
