They were approachable and seemingly intelligent on HVAC issues and weren’t just trying to sell us. They were not the cheapest and part of the reason they were selected is because they were on Mitsubishi’s list of approved installers. We agreed on a contract in March and agreed to delay installation until weather was better since we would be without heating for several days and to accommodate their schedule. I had my HVAC installed by Gahanna Heating and Cooling just one year ago, and now it is making a horrendous noise without me doing anything to it. When I called for help, the receptionist on the phone was dismissive and completely unhelpful with scheduling. Even though this was an urgent issue because the unit isn’t working properly, she didn’t offer to send anyone out for two full days. They couldn’t even give me a specific appointment time, only a vague 4-hour window that ended at 4:30 pm... not feasible for anyone working a normal day. Her snobbiness and inflexibility were totally unacceptable. Thankfully, a technician came earlier than expected and he was lovely. I was on I-270 going northbound at about 7:30am this morning when an older caucasian male was driving erratically. I’m not sure if he was late for work or something, but he was tailgating, hopping in front of vehicles, beeping, and flicking people off for not going faster. He did this to multiple vehicles! It was not safe at all. Other vehicles were swerving to the side so that they didn’t get hit. That kind of driving is absolutely unacceptable. It could have resulted in an accident. He was being very aggressive. This is not the fault of the company, but he was driving a company vehicle. Management should reevaluate their employees, I’m sure this is not the type of people they want representing their company in public. To start, the customer service staff (Erin) and the technicians are excellent. I appreciate the work they did and the support they provided. The one star rating is due to the quoting process and the leadership -- at least the leadership I had contact with. The lack of transparency, high price tag, and inconsistency in quote language are my main issues. For example, I was told that I "had" to get a new thermostat as part of the remedy for my situation. In the quote it included a specific brand/model thermostat, when they came to address my situation I immediately noticed that they were installing a 'Branded' thermostat, meaning it had 'Gahanna Heating and Cooling' on it. Open and honest communications in today’s world is a rarity. I over researched and over solution’ed my needs and was recommended a less expensive solution than i T H O U G H T i needed. Years later its still functikning yhat was it was designed to function. i have also learned didnt need a whole home humidifier but would benefit from an ionizer. humidity is now acceptable all year round, and i have recored before and after filter replacement weights proving it adds value to the system. allergy sufferes take note, this makes a difference, as dors Gahanna Heating. i have referred several other friends, all are equally happy. thanks.
