I trusted Gais Construction to upfit my new showroom. This is my fifth commercial upfit so I know how upfits should be managed. The signed contract stated substantial completion at 90 days. It has now been almost fifteen months and the upfit is not finished. I had to engage an attorney to help with the delays. The work has been extremely sub-par and many mistakes have been made. I never received a detailed project plan. The Superintendent Juan and the Project Manager “Stump” are horrible. Michael Gais either takes forever to respond to an email or does not respond at all. I deeply regret selecting Gais Construction. Before I signed my contract Kate, the office manager, was extremely rude to me. Melissa who also works in the office is so rude.
